February 05, 2016

Vaginal Surgery is a sensitive issue. Many women feel uncomfortable to discuss such a sensitive topic. At the Me Clinic our Surgeons and staff understand this, so we provide a discreet and private environment where you can discuss your problems openly with our trusted Surgeons who are understanding and compassionate.

Because of our compassion and understanding we have been trusted to thousands of successful procedures.

In this months newsletter we discuss the many treatments that are available.

YOUR SURGICAL OPTIONS

Labioplasty

Whether you feel you have an irregular appearance or have developed changes through childbirth, it is possible to adjust the size of the labia minora with a simple procedure for a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing result.

Labioplasty is a procedure that reduces the size or changes the shape of the small lips on the outside of the vagina (labia minora). It is a simple procedure designed to help women feel more confident about the way they look and feel.

The surgery involves small incisions which are made to remove excess tissue and reduced the size or shape of the small lips on the outside of the vagina (labia minora).

The clitoris is not affected by a labioplasty and there is no loss of sexual sensation, in fact, some women report an improvement in sensation and sexual function.

Labia Majora Surgery – The outer lips of the vaginal opening. We are able to reduce the size or plump up the labia majora.

Vaginoplasty

Many women experience loosening of their vaginal walls this is caused by lax muscles in the vaginal canal. This can be caused by childbirth, trauma, genetics or tissue stretching. A Vaginoplasty can restore and rejuvenate the vagina.

A Vaginoplasty procedure tightens the lax muscles and tissues in the front or back of the vaginal canal walls and if necessary remove any excess vaginal skin to narrow the diameter of the vagina. This results in a smaller and tighter opening and vaginal canal.

Women may also experience more satisfying sexual relations after this procedure.

Clitoral Hood reduction

Women often complain of excess skin over their clitoris saying that the area projects out from the confines of the labia majora and is bulky and wrinkly. It can also affect them during sex whereby they have reduced sensitivity or it causes sex to be painful due to the excess skin.

The procedure involves the removal of this excess amount of skin in order to give a smoother and tighter yet functional clitoris and hood.

The clitoris is not operated upon, so there is no reduction in clitoral sensation during sex. Patients however, report that this procedure may increase their sensation during sex.

Hymen Repair

Women approach us to have their hymen re-instated for social, cultural and religious reasons. Many women’s hymens may have inadvertently broken through strenuous sporting and vigorous activity.

The aim of this procedure is to make the patient appear virginal. This procedure requiring precise incisions in order to bring the hymeneal ring membranes into close approximation. These are finely sutured to hold the tissue in place.

During subsequent sexual intercourse the hymen is torn which usually results in bleeding.

YOUR NON SURGICAL OPTIONS

G-Spot Enhancement

It is believed that an area on the front wall of the vagina just inside the opening of the vagina (at the bladder neck) is a highly erogenous area. By enlarging that area with a dermal or volumising filler, it may enhance sexual pleasure by making that area more amenable to pressure during sex.

The procedure involves injecting volumising filler in strategic areas of the vaginal wall. It is a simple and straightforward procedure.

Vaginal Laser resurfacing

Some women are not happy with the skin tone and texture  of their clitoral hood, labia and in the area between the vagina and anus. Vaginal Laser Resurfacing is a simple treatment to correct these concerns.

We are able to treat these problem areas with our special lasers and radio frequency devices. This results in a resurfaced, smoother and often tighter skin in these problem areas.
