PDT - Photo Dynamic Therapy

July 06, 2016

Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT) is an advanced skin treatment used by practitioners worldwide. This treatment can improve the following skin conditions:

PDT allows topically applied medications such as ALA (Alfa Levulinic Acid) to target diseased and damaged skin cells when activated by a light of a special wavelength. The medication eliminates the diseased and damaged abnormal skin cells only but not the normal skin cells.

All areas of the body can be treated such as the full face, arms, legs, hands, feet, scalp and décolletage.

We usually recommend one or more treatments that should ideally be spaced four to six weeks apart for optimum results.

Milder treatments may require more sessions but generally the healing time is reduced.

Contact me clinic for more information or to arrange a no obligation consultation with one of our Cosmetic Physicians, Nurses and Clinicians or Aestheticians so your skin can be examined and assessed for its suitability for Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT).
