Co2 Laser Cosmetic Surgery

Only available at me clinic, Malvern East

The Co2 Laser is considered the golden standard for Laser Cosmetic Surgery. It is designed to treat  Fine Lines & Wrinkles and Deep Lines & Wrinkles around the eyes, lips, forehead and cheek. It can also rejuvenate skin with severe Skin Ageing,  Sun Damage and Scars.

It works on the same principle as the Fraxel Laser but is able to treat the skin much deeper than the Fraxel Laser and the Erbium Laser.

How does a Co2 Laser Procedure work?

The Co2 Laser emits a laser beam that produces more residual thermal activity  than the Erbium Laser. Consequently, as the skin heals it produces additional collagen which in turn promotes a further reduction in Fine Lines & Wrinkles, Deep Lines & Wrinkles, Scars and Sun Damage. Once the skin heals, it reveals a softer, smoother, and more youthful appearance.

We perform the following Co2 Laser  Procedures:

  • Co2 Laser (Deep FX)

For Deep Lines & Wrinkles, Fine Lines & Wrinkles, Scars severe Skin Ageing, our Surgeons, Cosmetic Physicians and Clinicians have the option to use the Co2 Laser (Deep FX) which effectively treats these Skin Conditions and others.

  • Co2 Laser (Ultra Pulse)  |  Co2 Laser (Active FX)

The Co2 Laser (Ultra Pulse) and Co2 Laser (Active FX) also provide our Surgeons, Cosmetic Physicians and Clinicians with the option of a Superficial rejuvenation of the skin. The settings can be increased on these Co2 Lasers for a Deep treatment where it is required.

The Deep settings on our Co2 Laser Procedures make it a more effective procedure but with a longer recovery time and downtime. The Superficial settings can make it a viable walk in walk out procedure with minimal downtime. See also Laser Skin Rejuvenation.

At the Me Clinic we have over 30 years of Cosmetic Surgery experience and 20 years experience with Laser Treatments. We offer other specialised Laser Cosmetic Surgery procedures and non-surgical Laser Skin Rejuvenation that caters for all skin types and conditions to improve your skin characteristics with little recovery time and downtime.

What should you expect after a Co2 Laser Cosmetic Surgery procedure?

After your procedure you may feel drowsy from the anaesthetic. It is important to have someone drive you home and stay overnight. On this evening we recommend you rest. You are provided with an after hours direct number in the event you may have any questions or concerns you wish to speak to us about.

After your procedure your skin may feel slightly hot. This will reduce gradually. Mild to moderate swelling is normal and may last for several days. The use of cold compress and ice packs will help with both of these symptoms. It is also important to sleep on 3 to 4 pillows for a few days. You will also be given some medication to take to prevent swelling and infection.

The next day or within a few days you must come back to the Me Clinic for your first post-operative check.Generally with Co2 Laser (with the Deep settings) your skin will heal in around 2 to 3 weeks.

Our Surgeons and Nurses will continue to monitor your recovery through a number of post-operative check-ups and are available at any time if you have questions or concerns.

How much does it cost?

As each person's skin and skin condition varies from patient to patient it is difficult to provide general pricing. A no obligation consultation with one of Surgeons is essential in determining what you require and which procedure would be best suited for you.

Our philosophy is simple. We want you to be fully informed, and we want you to understand all your options and have one accurate price quoted once. Consultation fees may apply.

There is no need for you to obtain a referral from your own doctor to see one of our Surgeons. Generally we are able to book you in to see one of our surgeons in 7 to 14 days.
