Scarless Breast Lift Melbourne

***We are not offering this service presently***

A scarless breast lift (also known as Breast Ptosis) is a different approach to traditional breast lift surgery, aiming to reduce scarring. However, like all surgeries, it still carries risks. While some patients may experience shorter recovery times with this technique, it’s important to note that individual recovery experiences can vary.

Surgical Warning: Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

How does a Scarless Breast Lift™ procedure work?

This cosmetic surgery, while less invasive than some, involves a bodytite technique with an emphasis on collagen growth and still carries surgical risks. This involves combining skin tightening and liposuction techniques, aiming to achieve results that look natural, but it’s important to note that individual results can vary. A small incision is made in the armpit and with the use of a cannula, excess breast tissue is removed if necessary via liposuction. The collagen formation assists in lifting the breasts with an aim to minimise visible scarring, but individual scarring experiences can vary.

This surgery not only changes your breast shape to your desired outcome but also corrects asymmetry. A specific post-procedure routine as designed by our surgeons needs to be followed involving detailed instructions and special bras.

Preparing for a scarless breast lift

While a scarless breast lift surgery is less invasive than some procedures, it’s still a significant procedure and preparation can help ensure a smoother recovery process. Our surgeons will assess your breasts, skin elasticity, and skin laxity to evaluate your suitability for the Scarless Breast Lift™ procedure. Results may differ for each individual. Some women who may find this procedure suitable include those who have experienced significant weight loss resulting in uneven breast size, or breastfeeding mothers with sagging breasts. However, individual results can vary.

We recommend several dos and don’ts before the surgical breast lift.

  1. Do stop smoking. If you are a smoker, now is a good time to quit the habit. Nicotine dramatically impairs your ability to heal. As such, it’s paramount to stop any nicotine and nicotine-based products including patches, vapes, and marijuana at least 4 weeks before the procedure.
  2. Do have a healthy lifestyle. Eat a well-balanced diet to ensure you are in optimum health before your surgery. Exercise for good overall health and well-being. It’s a stepping stone as well as a great enhancement to recovery for your body and skincare.
  3. Plan and prepare. There is some required downtime after the breast lift procedure. Do remember to take time off work and ensure you have the support you need for the days following your surgical procedure. This could be a friend or a family member to drive you home, or assist with the groceries and preparing your meals for the next few days.

What should I expect after Scarless Breast Lift™ Surgery?

After your procedure, it’s common to feel drowsy from the local anaesthesia, which is a part of the surgical process. It is important to have someone drive you home and stay overnight. We recommend complete rest after the breast reduction surgery. You are provided with an after-hours direct number in the event you may have any questions or concerns you wish to speak to us about.

The next day or within a few days, you must return to the Clinic for your first post-operative check. After your breast procedure, it’s common to experience some swelling. This will gradually settle, and the final results of the repositioned breasts will typically be visible within 2 to 4 weeks, although individual recovery timelines can vary.

Aftercare / Recovery

The typical recovery time for a Scarless Breast Lift ™ is over a four to six-week period, but individual recovery timelines can vary. Following the scarless breast reduction surgery, a specific routine as designed by our surgeons needs to be followed involving specific instructions and undersized bras.

We recommend avoiding strenuous activity for around three weeks, but after six weeks or so you will be able to return to any exercise routines you had before.

Our highly experienced team of surgeons and nurses will continue to monitor your recovery through some post-operative check-ups. Me Clinic offers accessibility to communicate with our team, at any time if you have questions or concerns.

If you have any questions or concerns please call the Clinic and speak with your surgeon or one of our nurses or staff members.

Risks/Benefits

There are numerous benefits to the highly sought-after breast lift surgery.

  • The scarless breast lift aims to minimise scarring compared to traditional breast reduction surgery. However, it’s important to note that individual scarring experiences can vary.
  • In the scarless breast lift, a liposuction cannula is used to create tunnels in the breasts, which heal to create collagen strings that aim to hold the breasts higher. However, individual results can vary.
  • The scarless breast lift is less invasive than traditional breast reduction, which may lead to shorter recovery times for some patients. However, individual recovery timelines can vary.

It should be noted that like any surgery procedure, breast surgery does come with its risks and possible complications. These include:

  • Swelling and bruising around the breasts. They do subside within 2 months or so.
  • Bleeding or infection. These are the risks involved with surgery. Seek medical attention immediately in case they occur.
  • Fat necrosis is a complication as a result of surgery. They form as a result of poor blood supply to the fat cells and cause firm lumps to develop under the skin. They are harmless and subside over time.
