Neck Lifts Melbourne

As we age, changes in our skin and body are natural. One of these changes can be in the neck area. A Neck Lift may help to address concerns such as loose skin or changes in the neck region.

A Neck Lift can help address these changes if they are a concern for you. It’s important to note that results can vary and a consultation is necessary to discuss what you can expect based on your individual circumstances.

Surgical Warning: Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

How does a Neck Lift work?

A Neck Lift is an effective method of lifting of sagging neck skin to smooth out the neck region. It involves the contraction of skin or removal of skin from the neck region in order to tighten the skin. This can be achieved a number of ways.

  • Traditional Neck Lift involves the surgical excision of excess skin via an incision around the front and back of the ears, and then tightening the underlying muscles in the neck area (known as a Platysmaplasty).
  • Platysmal Plication involves making a small inconspicuous incision under the chin and “plicating” (folding & tigtening) the muscles under the chin which helps to lift sagging and loose skin without removing any of the skin.
  • Suture Neck Lift involves the use of special suture (stitches) to elevate and attach the skin to a tighter and higher level causing the loose neck skin to appear tighter and smoother.
  • Laser Lipolysis/Vaser Hi Def Liposuction involves the use of a probe under the skin to create heat and if desired remove any excess fat. The heat created contracts the skin collagen and encourages a better attachment of the tightened skin to the underlying muscles.

What should you expect after Neck Lift surgery?

After your procedure, you may feel drowsy from the anaesthetic. It is important to have someone drive you home and stay overnight. On this evening we recommend you rest. You are provided with an after hours direct number in the event you may have any questions or concerns you wish to speak to us about.

As there are a number of different Neck Lift procedures the recovery may vary significantly. Our Surgeons can fully explain the recovery times for each procedure during your no obligation consultation.

If you have any questions or concerns please call the Clinic to speak with your Surgeon, Nurses or one of our staff members.

How much does it cost?

As every patient we see has different requirements, it is difficult to provide standardised pricing as each procedure is tailored for each individual patient’s situation. Please note that the cost of the procedure may also include additional costs related to anaesthesia, hospital fees, and any necessary follow-up treatments or care. A no obligation consultation with one of our Surgeons is essential in determining what you require and which procedure would be best suited for you.

Our philosophy is simple. We want you to be fully informed, and we want you to understand all your options and have one accurate price quoted once. Consultation fees may apply.

While a referral from your own doctor is not required to see one of our Surgeons, we encourage you to discuss any potential procedures with your own doctor to ensure you are fully informed about the potential risks and benefits.
