Co2 Laser Skin Treatments

Only available at Me Clinic, Malvern East

The Co2 Laser is Carbon Dioxide Laser that emits a laser beam that is highly absorbed by water, leading to the heating of that water. Because our skin is predominantly made of water, the Co2 Laser is an effective treatment for Skin Rejuvenation.

What type of Co2 Lasers do we use?

  • Co2 (Ultra Pulse) Laser
  • Co2 (Active FX) Laser
  • Co2 (Deep FX) Laser

How does the Co2 Laser Treatment work?

The Co2 Laser emits a laser beam that produces controllable residual thermal damage so consequently, as the skin heals the skin produces additional collagen which in turn promotes a further reduction in wrinkles. Once the skin has healed, the new skin reveals a softer, smoother, and more youthful appearance.

The Co2 (Ultra Pulse) Laser and Co2 (Active FX) Laser provide our Cosmetic Physicians, Nurses and Clinicians or Aestheticians with the option of a Superficial or Deep laser resurfacing of the skin. The Superficial settings make this a true walk in walk out procedure with minimal downtime.

For Deep Lines & Wrinkles, and Scars the settings can be increased to Deep on the Co2 (Ultra Pulse) Laser and Co2 (Active FX) Laser, or we have the option to use the Co2 (Deep FX) Laser which effectively treats Deep Lines & Wrinkles, Sun Damage and Scars and for people who suffer from Skin Ageing.

The Deeper settings make it a more effective procedure but with a longer recovery time and downtime see our surgical Co2 Laser Cosmetic Surgery.

What skin conditions can a Co2 Laser Treatment improve?

The Co2 Laser works on the same principle as the Fraxel Laser but is able to treat the skin much deeper than the Fraxel Laser.

How many Treatments are required?

The treatments with Co2 Laser are often quite dramatic. From our experience and depending on your skin type and conditions between 1 to 3 treatments are required to achieve optimal results.

A no obligation consultation with one of our Cosmetic Physicians, Nurses and Clinicians or Aestheticians is essential so your skin can be examined and assessed for its suitability for Co2 Laser treatments and the optimal settings.

After your consultation we can choose from our Co2 (Ultra Pulse) Laser, Co2 (Active FX) Laser and even our Co2 (Deep FX) Laser (or any of our other Laser Treatments) for your Co2 Laser treatment depending on your skin condition and recommended treatment.
