If you have been through the distress and embarrassment of Acne and tried many treatments to resolve it then, we have a different approach to treating acne. It is not surprising that many treatments are not successful because some treatments may not address the underlying causes of acne.
Our approach is to address the underlying causes of acne as well as the symptoms. The principal causes of acne are genetic, hormonal and environmental factors. These lead to the obstructions of hair follicles.
This hair follicle has an opening in the skin which usually, has a hair follicle growing out of it. When the opening becomes blocked by dead skin cells and oil from the oil gland, the oil gland continues to produce oil and causes the gland to swell and rupture.
When it ruptures it releases oil and dead skin cells into the dermis or top layer of the skin which reacts by becoming inflamed. This inflammation causes redness and swelling and which in turn becomes infected which results in a white head pimple filled with pus.
We have over 35 years’ experience in treating Skin, Facial Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Medicine. The treatments and treatment plans we have developed aim to address a variety of skin conditions and problems, and also aim to slow down the visible signs of the skin’s ageing process.
