Face Lifts (Rhytidectomy)

As we age noticeable changes occur to our faces. We start to notice lines and wrinkles and our skin loses its collagen and elasticity. Our skin starts to loosen and begins to sag. The youthful glow that we once had starts to disappear and we lose volume and contour from our faces. All these changes become even more prominent the more we age. It’s a sad fact of life that our present lifestyles tend to make us look older than we really are and sometimes feel!

Surgical Warning: Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

Traditional face lift

A Traditional Face Lift is more suited for patients with advanced signs of skin ageing and very loose or excessive skin. It is an effective method of lifting the skin and facial tissue and can achieve dramatic results.

Traditional face lift procedure & expectations

A surgical incision is made in front of and behind the ears and hairline to remove loose and excess skin which achieves a lifting and tightening of the facial features. It is a procedure that may leave some scarring around the ears and hairline and it has a slightly longer recovery time.

After

Performed By: Dr Ashley Granot (M0001026218) MBBS, FFMACCS (Med), FACP, FACNEM, ABBRM, MA5M Cosmetic Doctor, Melbourne

Fat transfer to face procedure & expectations

The fat is removed from the patient’s body by Liposuction and then it is re-injected into specific areas of the face so as to restore the volume that is lost with age or trauma.

The results of a Fat Transfer procedure can vary between individuals and may be long-lasting. Different therapies can be combined to increase the survival rate of the fat transferred as well as providing cosmetic benefits.

Fat transfer is a relatively quick procedure with minimal discomfort and a speedy recovery, with most patients experiencing minimal bruising which disappears in a few days.
