Nose Thread Lift

Only available at me clinic, Malvern East.
(also known as Thread Lift, APTOS, Stitch Lift, Safe Lift, Skin Stitch, S Lift, Feather Lift and Hollywood Lift.)

Nose Thread lift is an innovative treatment that reshapes your nose with immediate and natural results. This brilliantly effective non-invasive treatment provides all the benefits of a nose reshape and lift with a quick recovery time and minimal downtime.

It is adaptable so that either the nose bridge, tip or both can be lifted to achieve a more refined, straighter or contoured nose shape. This innovative technique can also correct a “bump” on the nose, or improve the appearance of a deviated nose bridge.

Known as the most viable alternative to surgery and safer than filler injections to the nose, this treatment is done under local anaesthesia in around 30 minutes.

How does a Nose Thread Lift work?

During the treatment the nose is sterilized, and a topical anaesthetic injected to numb the area prior to the suture’s insertion for minimal discomfort.

Only one entry point is made on the tip of the nose to insert the threads along the nasal bridge. Once the suture has been applied, the doctor performs slight moulding of the skin to reshape it by hand and to obtain the desired lifting effect.

The number of sutures applied depends on the patient's desired outcome.

This technique allows surgeons to correct or improve:

  • the shape of the nose
  • the angle of the nose
  • the tip of the nose
  • the bridge of the nose

As the stitches used in a Nose Thread Lift last for many years, they can also be tightened and adjusted thus maintaining the desired refined and straightened appearance.

The advantage of a Nose Thread Lift is that it is a considerably cheaper and less invasive procedure than a surgical rhinoplasty and allows for a much faster recovery.

What should you expect after Nose Thread Lift?

After this treatment, there may be some mild swelling and transient bruising but this usually subsides in around 2 to 7 days.

Uncommon side effects include infection, minimal acute inflammatory tissue reaction, and pain. Transient bruising may also occur. Sometimes, a slight depression or skin irregularity may appear at the entry points. These inconveniences should disappear a few days after treatment.

How long do the results last and how many treatments are required?

At me clinic our surgeons use absorbable APTOS threads with barbs on them that last longer than the Korean PDO threads, where results usually last few months.

Made in Germany, APTOS threads are a bidirectional barbed thread which allows a non-invasive and natural approach to nose correction without surgery.

This premium quality thread stimulates the growth of collagen (called “Type I Collagen) around the area, which is still present after 2 years from the time of the procedure. Most patients can display an improved cosmetic result even after 2 years.

How much does it cost?

As every patient we see has different requirements, it is difficult to provide standardised pricing as each procedure is tailored to the individual patient's situation. A no obligation consultation with one of our Surgeons is essential in determining what you require and which procedure would be best suited for you.

Our philosophy is simple. We want you to be fully informed, and we want you to understand all your options. Consultation fees may apply.

There is no need for you to obtain a referral from your own doctor to see one of our practitioners. Generally we are able to book you in to see one of our practitioners in 7 to 14 days.
