Epidermal Levelling Treatment
Also known as Dermaplaning or Dermablading, Epidermal Levelling Treatments are a gentle and effective way to immediately eliminate unwanted vellus hair, while also improving the texture and tone of your skin.
During the treatment, a specially designed surgical blade is delicately run over the surface of the skin following the direction of the hair, removing the topmost layers of the skin (the stratum corneum). The technique immediately banishes fine vellus hair along with dead skin cells and trapped in dirt and oils, revealing the smoother, more refreshed skin below.
By removing the topmost layer of skin, the treatment also improves the effectiveness of other skin treatments and cosmeceutical skincare products by making it easier for the active ingredients to penetrate the skin and encourage cellular growth. For this reason, many of our patients decide to combine their Epidermal Levelling Treatment with a cosmetic skin peel or Healite II LED treatment.
Contrary to popular belief, the vellus hair does not grow back darker or thicker following Epidermal Levelling Treatment. In fact, because the blade is applied following the direction of the hair, the tips of the hair will be tapered which results in softer regrowth.
The procedure is quick (usually performed in around 30 minutes) and painless. Depending on the speed at which your facial hair re-grows, you’ll require a follow-up treatment every 4-6 weeks to keep your facial hair at bay.

Laser Facial Hair Removal
If you’re looking for a more permanent solution or you need a way to treat thicker or darker facial hair, Laser Facial Hair Removal is the more suitable option.
Like laser hair removal on other areas of the body, facial laser hair removal works by gently heating the individual hair, which in turn heats the hair follicle that the hair shaft is anchored to. This eradicates the hair bulb and inhibits further growth. After several treatments, the hair does not grow back or regrows significantly weaker.
While laser treatments were traditionally most effective at treating patients with darker hair and fairer skin, the latest generation of laser and light devices can be highly effective at treating patients with darker complexions.
