A Suture lift procedure is a type of Face Lift procedure that aims to enhance the appearance of the face and neck. Like all surgical procedures, it carries potential risks and outcomes can vary.
Surgical Warning: Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

How does a Suture Lift work?
During a Suture Lift procedure our Surgeons use fine threads under the skin which are attached to the underlying facial muscle tissue and are “tightened” to reposition loose or droopy areas of the skin on the face. The threads or sutures are usually anchored within the hairline or behind the ears where they cannot be seen. There is no excess skin removed.
As the stitches used in a Suture Lift last for many years they can be tightened and adjusted to maintain the desired youthful look achieved by the procedure.
Compared to some other Face Lift methods, a Suture Lift procedure may be less invasive and could potentially allow for a faster recovery. However, recovery times can vary and there are still risks associated with this procedure.
Our team of surgeons has a combined experience of over 35 years in Cosmetic Surgery and we have been pioneers of this style of Face Lifts in Australia since 2001, particularly Dr Ashley Granot who has developed a number of new techniques in performing them.

What should you expect after a Suture Lift treatment?
After your procedure you may feel drowsy from the anaesthetic. It is important to have someone drive you home and stay overnight. On this evening we recommend you rest.
You are provided with an after hours direct number in the event you may have any questions or concerns you wish to speak to us about. The next day or within a few days of your procedure you must come back to the Clinic for your first post-operative check.
Following treatment, some patients may experience pain behind the ears. Pain levels can vary and while pain killers can help manage this, it’s important to note that everyone’s experience with pain and recovery is different. Initially the stitches may feel a little tight but this feeling will pass as they generally loosen after a few weeks.
If for any reason you would like to revise your results, it’s possible to adjust the stitches within the first 4 weeks after your procedure. However, it’s important to note that revisions carry their own risks and limitations and may not always be possible or recommended.
Our Surgeons and Nurses aim to provide thorough post-operative care, including a number of check-ups. However, it’s important to note that the availability of our team may vary, and in case of emergency, you should seek immediate medical attention.
If you have any questions or concerns please call the Clinic to speak with your Surgeon, Nurses or one of our staff members.

How much does it cost?
As every patient we see has different requirements, the cost of each procedure can vary. However, we strive to provide a clear breakdown of all potential costs during your consultation, including any additional costs for consultations, anaesthesia, and aftercare. A no obligation consultation with one of Surgeons is essential in determining what you require and which procedure would be best suited for you.
Our philosophy is simple. We want you to be fully informed, and we want you to understand all your options and have one accurate price quoted once. Consultation fees may apply.
While you don’t need a referral from your own doctor to see one of our Surgeons, we encourage you to discuss any planned procedures with your regular healthcare provider. Generally we are able to book you in to see one of our Surgeons in 7 to 14 days.
