The ultimate skin treatment
Factor 4 and Skin needling is in many ways the a skin treatment for both men and women that targets many problem areas with a procedure. This micro-needling treatment may contribute to skin rejuvenation. A collection of your blood is process using patented technologically advanced tubing, producing a highly concentrated serum. During the incubation process the cellular matter of your blood separates and extracts the super concentrated rich growth factors and cytokines from your blood. The plasma concentrate is then spun and filtered to purify your serum making it four times concentrated.
About Factor 4 & Skin Needling
Me Clinic Australia has been a forerunner in providing skin rejuvenation treatments such as Factor 4 and Skin needling. This procedure is performed using a medical-grade dermal device. The treatment operates on the principle that when the device is passed over the skin multiple times, the very fine needles create minute and microscopic injuries to the skin. These tiny punctures encourage a wound-healing response in the epidermis allowing for rejuvenation and regeneration. Along with growth factors to enhance results.
Repeated passes stimulates the production of collagen. The skin continues to produce new collagen and elastin. In some cases, the skin can be producing collagen up to 12 months after the treatment. The extra production tightens and smooths the skin and in doing so may help address some skin concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles.
Benefits of Factor 4 & Skin Needling
There are potential benefits to this much sought-after skin needling. Apart from improved skin conditions, and new collagen growth, some people may notice a reduction in the appearance of pigmentation, enlarged pores and stretch marks.
Skin Needling may help in the treatment of the following conditions:
- Acne Scars
- Deep Line Wrinkles
- Dry Skin
- Fine Lines Wrinkles
- Open Pores
- Scars | Surgical Scars | Raised Scars
- Skin Ageing
- Uneven Skin Texture
- Eye Area Dark circles and aging
Stimulate collagen & elastin growth
Collagen and elastin are two vital components that give your skin the lift, and life that is so desired. As a person gets older, collagen production starts to decline resulting in noticeable changes such as sagging skin, and sunken cheekbones. Factor 4 and Skin needling addresses this common issue faced by many individuals over the age of 30. The micro-needling action stimulates collagen growth and revascularization. The results may vary and some people may notice the effects of improved skin quality. There may be some side effects.
People who suffer from this condition only know too well the problems associated with having uneven skin tone. Hyperpigmentation can take place as a result of inflammation of the skin, blackheads or whiteheads. Blotchy uneven skin tone can lower self-esteem and shake a person’s confidence level.
Factor 4 and Skin needling may help reduce this condition by breaking up the pigment below the skin’s surface. Some people with darker skin tones may prefer skin needling over laser treatment due to potential pigmentation concerns.
Reduce scarring & stretch marks
One potential benefit could be a reduction in the appearance of acne scars. Anyone suffering from scarring only knows too well the struggle of treating acne scars. When scarring occurs on the face or body, the body naturally goes through fibrosis. As part of a healing process, fibrosis causes elements in the skin to hold together. Unfortunately, this can also result in skin being pulled down causing pock marks, stretch marks or scarring on the epidermis.
Factor 4 and Skin needling may help to break down the fibrosis underneath the skin, potentially leading to softer, smoother and more supple skin.
Minimise fine lines & wrinkles
As a person gets older, fine lines and wrinkles start to make their appearance more obvious. The lines on your face tell a story, and while ageing is part of life, there is no reason why these lines can’t be kept to a minimum. Laugh lines, smile lines and frown lines are all part of the facial expression. But couple that with prolonged sun exposure and lack of sunscreen and you may find yourself with more wrinkles than you so desire.
Factor 4 and Skin needling may help reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The production of collagen in the skin helps with continued skin renewal resulting in a reduction in lines. Using sunscreen with the right amount of SPF is also key to maintaining a good skin care regime.
Preparation and aftercare
While this is a non-invasive procedure, it is still recommended that you follow several steps before the treatment itself for optimal results.
As the treatment involves skin resurfacing, we at Me Clinic recommend that you avoid any laser hair removal, waxing, IPL treatments on the face and especially sun exposure before a skin needling treatment. If you must, always wear SPF when outdoors. Ensure that you do not use any abrasive skin products, exfoliants or antibiotics at least 48 hours before the procedure.
There may be some redness or slight irritation post-treatment. This will usually subside within 3-4 hours. You must avoid sun exposure, hot showers and strenuous exercise for the first two days after the procedure. Your skin may benefit from a gentle cleanser, and lots of hydration and post treatment balm to soothe and calm the redness during the healing process. Avoid the use of harsh or chemical skin care products in the treatment area. You may experience some dryness as your skin heals, and you mustn’t exfoliate skin.
Suitable for all skin types
While it may be suitable for many skin types, some individuals are not suited for a Factor 4 and skin-needling procedure. These include people who suffer from eczema or who might have existing open wounds on the treatment area, whether it is on your face, neck or shoulder area, also known as the decolletage. It is also not advisable for pregnant women to undergo micro needling. Speak to a consultant at Me Clinic who can advise you of a personalised treatment plan to suit your needs.
How it works
To understand the process of skin needling, it helps to understand the process behind it. As mentioned previously, skin needling is performed with the use of a micro needling device. This device is equipped with microneedles that create tiny punctures on the skin. These minute injuries cause the skin to rejuvenate and heal itself thus promoting collagen production along with growth factors.
Depending on your skin type, the number of treatments required may vary depending on the individual’s skin type and desired results.
Optimise your results
What sets skin needling apart from other cosmetic procedures is the fact that some people may continue to see benefits after the treatment has ended. In some instances, the skin can be producing collagen up to 12 months after the treatment. With extra production, your skin will appear smoother and more supple. Some people may see an improvement in their overall skin condition, and there may be less risk of pigment changes.
