Skin Needling is performed using a Dermal roller or another dermal rolling device. The treatment operates on the principle that when the Dermal roller is rolled over the skin multiple times, the small needles create minute and microscopic injuries to the skin. This causes the skin to rejuvenate and heal which promotes collagen production.
In some cases the skin can be producing collagen up to 12 months after the treatment. The extra collagen production tightens and smooths the skin. Skin needling can be used to improve numerous Skin Conditions with less risk of skin pigment changes.
We use the only Therapeutic Goods Act (TGA) listed transdermal skin needling device in Australia. Skin needling can also be performed as a home care treatment, but is generally much less intense and invasive, and the results are not as effective when performed by one of our Clinicians or Aestheticians.
We have over 35 years' experience in treating Skin, Facial Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Medicine. The Treatments and Treatment Plans we have developed can effectively deal with any Skin Conditions and problems you may have, and also slow down and reverse the skin's ageing process.
A no obligation consultation with one of our Cosmetic Physicians or Clinicians and Aestheticians is essential so your skin can be examined and assessed for the most suitable Skin Needling treatments.
From our experience and depending on your skin type and conditions you would need 4 to 6 treatments to achieve optimal results. The recovery time is minimal and you can return to work the next day with not much more than a slightly pink face.
